Johnny Devlin

John Lockett Devlin (11/5/1938- ), sometimes referred to as New Zealand's Elvis was our first major rock 'n' roll star. He had a string of hits from 1958 onwards starting with "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" and toured with The Everly Brothers and The Beatles.

Devlin was frequently mobbed at early shows by exuberant female fans hoping to tear off a piece of his shirt.
