Citizen Band

Geoff Chunn (guitar/vocals) replaced by Roland Killeen (1980) Greg Clark (guitar) Mike Chunn (bass) Brent Eccles (drums)

Citizen Band formed in 1977. Brothers Geoff and Mike Chunn, had previously played with Split Enz. Mike had also played with Space Waltz as had Greg Clark and Brent Eccles. Geoff Chunn wrote the songs. "Julia" (59) and "Rust In My Car" made APRA's list of top 100 New Zealand Songs of All Time in 2001.

The Band folded in 1981 after Brent Eccles left to join successful Australian band The Angels. Mike Chunn has remained working within the industry having been General Manager for Mushroom Records and APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association) as well as founding the Play it Strange Trust in 2003 which promotes songwriting and performance by young New Zealanders. He also published a book, "Stranger Than Fiction: The Life and Times of Split Enz" in 2013.
