Anna Leah

Originally from Birmingham, England before emigrating to New Zealand, Anna Leah released a string of singles in the mid 1970s. She was awarded the 1973 RATA award for Best New Zealand Recorded Composition with her novelty pop song "Love Bug" which was also her entry to the Studio One Competition that year. The song made it to #3 on the national pop charts. Another track "Wahine", a tribute to the tragic ferry disaster, also charted in 1975.
